A progression of festivals varying as race to race are celebrated in Bangladesh. The celebration of Muslim are Eid-ul-Fitr, Eid-ul-Azha, Eid-e-Miladunnabi, Muharram , Lailatul Kader, Lailatul Barat etc. Hindus celebration are Durga Puja, Kali Puja , Saraswati Puja and several pujas. The celebration of Christmas is called Baradin(Christmas Day). Moreover there are a few common celebrations, which are celebrated countrywide  by the people of Bangladesh. The 1st day of Bangal year is called Pahela Baishakh, such a great festival for the people of Bangladesh. The National Language Day and The World Mother Language Day is celebrated on 21^st february of every year, in this day the people Bangladesh got Bangla as their first language. The Capital of Bangladesh

The capital of Bangladesh is Dhaka. It is landed on the bank of the river of Buriganga. The city has a population of nearly 7 million people, one of the largest cities in the region of one. It has a colorful history, such as 'the city mosque.' The modern political, cultural and economic life of Bangladesh's center.


The existence of urbanized settlements in the 7th century to the present. Buddhist kingdom in the imperial city on the side of the Hindu army Kamarupa and Pal dynasty ruled it was before the 9 th century in control. The Turkish tradition of military and Afghan dynasty in 1608, before the arrival of the Mughals ruled by governors, was descending from the Delhi Sultanate.

The development of the modern city of the 19th century under the British rule in Bengal, and soon after, the second largest city of Calcutta (presently Kolkata) was. After the 1947 division of India, Dhaka became the governmental center of East Pakistan, and later, in 1972, it became the capital of an independent Bangladesh.


And population growth as a suburb of the city came under Mughal rule, 1608 was proclaimed the capital of Bengal. Mughal general Shaista Khan, the major expansion has taken place in the city. With a population almost a million people in the city, then 13 km (8 miles by 12), by 19 survey. The city approved to the British East India Company control after Plassey in 1765.
